Best indian Food in RTP
My family is from India and we really enjoy eating here. I will say that the lunch buffet on weekdays is a little Americanized. But if you order off the menu you get the real deal. The weekend buffet is as good as ordering off the menu any day. Weekday lunches are cater to the RTP lunch crowd and the evening and weekends to the Indian Community.
If you want only South Indian or only Vegetarian then go to Udipi Cafe in Cary. Both restaurants are owned by the same person.
The food is flavorful and authentic.
Pros: Authentic food,
Cons: Parking

Super Buffet !!
Buffet was like one of those Las Vegas ones. It has a lot of items on the buffet. Most of the dishes were good. Rich and a fulfilling experience. Their authentic South Indian delicacies have a lot to portray about Indian dining.

Still the best Indian food in Durham
Very tasty!. The buffet during lunch is good with many choices but even the same dishes eaten at dinner pack more flavor and spice. Very good food the best in town. Very many vegetarian choices!
Pros: food, atmooshpere ok for kids or romance
Cons: location, not many customers (pro??)

Spice & Curry has gone rogue
It's like the Twilight Zone at Spice & Curry. The food isn't as good as it used to be. A Buy-one-get-one-free coupon suddenly equals random dollar amounts taken off with no explanation. Not only has the waitstaff forgotten the concept of refilling water and providing freaking RICE with your food, but they also lost the aptitude to understand English as well. And the ability to get change after you've already paid them for your meal. Plus little kids will run around and whap your white friends in the face with balloons. Oh, and the parking lot has suddenly been taken over by the cast of 4 Fast 4 Furious. Put simply, it's a nightmare,
Pros: Food used to be good, close to RTP
Cons: Forgetful waitstaff, don't honor coupons, unprofessional service

We (about 5 people group) used to visit this restaurant often during lunch hours but since management changed from early 2008, the quality is no more.
Food is okay, not bad. Taste varies for regular daily dishes, no consistency.
Hall area (Function room) is spacious but Air Condition does not work and management said it is "centrally controlled" and they have "no control" switching it on. I think they have saved some bucks on power bill !! Not recommended for parties. Guests were sweating when we hosted a party for 20 people.
Nothing professional about service. New Staff is inexperienced and lacks politeness.
Pros: Spacious function Area; No waiting needed duing lunch hours;
Cons: Food quality and taste; poor customer service and lack of professionalism; Air condition in Hall area(function area) does not work; No bar area; Projector in hall area does not work;

My wife and I love this place. We've gone for dinners and the weekend buffet. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the quality at the buffet is not as good. However, you get to taste a little of everything. When we go for dinner we let loose and order different kinds of naan and appetizers. Everything is so good. We are very happy with the service. It feels like you are the only one there. They wait on you hand and foot and make you feel like you are very welcome there. The atmosphere is a come as you are kind of place. It is clean and comfortable. I can't recommend anything in particular because I get something different everytime I go. Everything I've had has been 5 star quality though. Give this place a try-you won't be dissapointed.
Pros: Easy location, good service, great food.
Cons: Weekend buffet isn't as good as the dinners.

this must e the best indian cuisine in N.C.
our team of 12 members from various corners of india were upset at all the other restaurants in triangle area for one or more reasons. but lunch on a monday at this restaurant made our tasting buds craving for more and each of us had sumptious meal. there were almost 20 dishes and all of relished on everything.though the waiting staff seem to be inexperienced we continued to be there for the next couple of weeks dining either for lunch or dinner. every thing was of homemde style nad richness of restaurants.i suggest every one of my friends try this restaurant.
p.s:-it's told to us this restaurant was taken over by the well known MINERVA GROUP from VIRGINIA.
Pros: VERY TASTY AND AUTHENTIC DISHES
Cons: WAITING STAFF ARE INEXPERIENCED

Great for dinner, so-so lunch buffet
I've had dinner here a few times ordering off the menu and every time has been excellent! Probably some of the best Indian around (many of my Indian friends agree). I was however disappointed with the weekday lunch buffet. It just wasn't the same flavors or quality that I was used to from the dinner menu. I prefer the weekday lunch buffet at Sitar Indian Palace in Durham which has been pretty reliable (though not perfect) in terms of quality and flavor. Also, in my opinion, the weekend buffet at Tandoor Indian (NC55) is the best around--fresh naan delivered to your table and somosas at the buffet ( I can't speak for their weekday buffet).
Pros: Great for dinner--order off the menu!

BEST OF THE ALL INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN SOUTH
Spice and Curry, as promised, is "sublime and beautiful." When I want a decadent Navaratana Kurma simmered in heavy cream and even heavier spices, I'd be amiss to look anywhere else. There are at least 5 Indian places that are closer to my house than Spice and Curry, but the trek is completely worth it. I prefer ordering off the menu, but the lunch buffet is superior to most, with many more vegetarian options and a higher than average basic spice level. The samosas aren't too dry and the mango lassi is perfectly cooling. What can I say about the crisp, yet soft garlic naan except "mmm." I'm an Indian food fiendess, as my reviews might show. If you're looking for a light meal, then you should look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a light meal then Indian food isn't your best bet anyway. Go to Spice & Curry when you need to bliss out on mind altering spices and rich, luxuriant sauces.
